Costs Lawyer & Training Provider
I have been involved in the world of Legal Costs since 1988, when I started as a trainee in a small local firm of Law Costs Draftsmen. I became a partner in that firm and subsequently a director, overseeing rapid expansion and growth.
I gained Associateship of the Association of Law Costs Draftsman in 1996 and became a Fellow in 1999. When that organisation became the Association of Costs Lawyers, I became a qualified Costs Lawyer as well as a committee member of their Legal Aid Special Interest Group and an Accredited Training Provider. I am regulated by the Costs Lawyers Standards Board.
At Ridley and Hall, I assist all teams in quantifying their costs by preparing bills, claims and budgets and provide training and advise in relation to all aspects of legal costs.
In my spare time, I enjoy visiting and photographing historical buildings, especially churches, hunting for bargains at antique fairs, and when energy and time permit, rock climbing and kayaking.
Authorised as a Costs Lawyer by the Costs Lawyers Standards Board, possessing rights of audience and the right to conduct costs litigation, pursuant to Sections 27 and 28 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990.
